AQUACOLLECT is the code name for a European project that was very close to be funded in the past. For this reason, we obtained a 50k eur grant from the «Proyectos I+D+i FEDER Andalucía 2014-2020» to strengthen the proposal and increase our skills in the field of water robots. Assoc. Prof. Maestre is the principal investigator of this one year project, where we deal with the use of robots for environmental monitoring applications in rivers. In particular, the goal is to use aquatic mobile robots positioned using GNSS (GALILEO/EGNOS in combination with other systems) to monitor and map diverse environmental variables that are of interest in fields such as agriculture.
